Brij Bhasin has 15 years of experience in technology and finance in the United States and India. He has a BS in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
First 8 years of his career was spent as a technologist. As part of the founding team of a Revenue Intelligence Startup, Pramata, he was an early architect and built the technology platform, headed Product Strategy and was involved in Business Development. Pramata works with Fortune 500 companies to extract millions of key information points for sales and finance teams to improve revenue outcomes.
For 8 years he has been an early stage investor, starting at GSF Accelerator, a Y-Combinator inspired incubation program for seed stage startups in India. As an Operating Partner, he invested and advised technology startups on the product design, go to market strategy and fundraising. He invested in over 30+ companies at GSF with an alpha return portfolio. One of his key investments and where he was an active Advisor, Little Eye Labs, a Mobile Data Analytics software startup was acquired by Facebook. GSF recently did a secondary sale of its share at Flintobox, a K12 learning startup, with Lightbox Ventures.
Last 4 years he has been leading India investments for an early stage Japanese Venture Capital Fund, Rebright Partners and manages a portfolio of 12 companies in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Singapore. He is responsible for Deal Sourcing, Evaluation, Execution and active Portfolio Management. Portfolio companies - LetsTransport, last mile logistics startup has recently closed $14MN Series B round lead by Fosun. Other portfolio companies like Inshorts, DocsApp and MedikaBazaar have scaled significantly post-investment and have raised further rounds of capital. Rebright India’s portfolio is currently in alpha returns marked to market.
